NICO Food Innovation aims to offer an equal, accessible experience to everyone who visits this site, including people with disabilities. We keep working to improve the site's accessibility.
Accessibility level
Our target is WCAG level AA, with reference to Israeli Standard 5568. The site has not yet undergone an independent professional accessibility audit, so this statement does not confirm full conformance with the standard or with legal requirements.
We will update this statement once a professional review has been completed and approved.
Accessibility menu
The site includes an accessibility menu provided by Vee. You can open it with the accessibility button at the side of the screen, using a mouse, touch or the keyboard (Tab, then Enter). It opens as a side panel. According to the provider, preferences are stored in your browser and can be turned off and reset from the menu.
The menu is designed to offer, among other things:
- Colour contrast adjustments
- Larger text and adjustable line spacing
- Highlighted links and headings
- Keyboard navigation support and skip to content
- Stopping animations
Adjustments made on the site
While building the site we made, among others, the following adjustments:
- A hierarchical heading structure with a single main heading per page
- Text alternatives for meaningful images
- Full keyboard navigation with a visible focus indicator
- An accessible mobile menu and touch-friendly tap targets
- Correct reading direction and language markup for Hebrew, English and Spanish
- Reduced motion for visitors who set that preference on their device
Exceptions and limitations
Despite our efforts, some parts of the site may not be fully accessible, for example third-party content or components (such as the accessibility menu itself) and images in some articles. The site's administration area is not intended for the public and is not covered by this statement. If you run into a difficulty, please let us know so we can address it.
