This policy explains how information is handled when you browse the NICO Food Innovation website or contact us, based on the website’s current features.

Who is responsible for your information

Nicolas Moreno Hick, an Israeli registered sole proprietor trading as NICO Food Innovation, operates this website and is responsible for personal information handled in the business activities described here.

For privacy questions and requests: nicolas@nicofood.co.il

Information you provide voluntarily

The contact form requires a name, email address and message to prepare your inquiry. Phone and country are optional, and country is not prefilled. You are not legally required to provide these details, but without contact details and an explanation of your inquiry we cannot respond meaningfully. You do not need to share formulas, sensitive data or confidential information in an initial inquiry.

How the contact form works

When you submit the form, your details travel over an encrypted connection to the website server and are stored in a private NICO database hosted by our website infrastructure provider (Lovable Cloud). Only an authorized NICO administrator can view inquiries; the database is not publicly accessible.

To prevent abuse and duplicate submissions, each inquiry is stored with a hashed technical identifier derived from your IP address, not the address itself. Automatic notification emails to NICO’s inbox will only be activated once a verified sending service is configured; until then inquiries are kept in the database and reviewed there.

Why we use information

Inquiry information is used to understand and answer your request, clarify professional requirements, prepare quotations and support a business relationship where one develops. Technical data supports website operation, security, troubleshooting and an aggregated understanding of website use. An inquiry does not automatically add you to a marketing list.

Hosting, technical data and cookies

The website is hosted on Lovable, which also provides aggregated usage analytics. Hosting and infrastructure providers, including Cloudflare for infrastructure and security, may process technical data such as IP addresses, browser and device details, request times and pages viewed. Essential cookies or similar mechanisms may be used for operation and security; this policy does not promise a fixed inventory of cookies.

The website loads fonts through Google Fonts, so your browser contacts that service and technical data may be disclosed to it. There is currently no Google Analytics, advertising pixel or active newsletter signup on this website. Infrastructure providers may also process data under their own privacy policies; we do not pass contact-form fields to them for usage analytics.

You can manage cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential mechanisms may affect how the website works.

Recipients and international processing

Information may be handled by hosting, infrastructure, security and email providers to deliver their services, and by professional service providers where needed to address an inquiry or support a business relationship. These providers may act as processors on our behalf, and some may process information outside Israel. We share only what is needed for the relevant purpose or required by law. NICO does not sell personal information from inquiries.

Planned professional and marketing emails

NICO intends to offer professional updates and marketing offers in the future. The form has a separate, optional checkbox that is unchecked by default. If you tick it, the consent wording, its version, the language and the time of receipt according to the server clock are stored with your inquiry. No newsletters are currently sent and the website does not automatically enroll anyone in a mailing list. Making an inquiry or leaving the box unchecked does not give marketing permission.

When commercial mailing begins, it must rely on valid prior consent or an applicable legal exception under Section 30A of Israel’s Communications (Telecommunications and Broadcasting) Law, 1982. Each such mailing will include an opt-out or unsubscribe option. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to the email address above, and the withdrawal will be recorded. Withdrawing marketing consent will not prevent you from contacting us for services.

How long we keep information

We keep inquiries and correspondence only as long as needed to respond, prepare quotations, manage a business relationship and meet relevant legal obligations. Retention needs are assessed according to the information and its purpose; this policy does not invent a single retention period. Infrastructure data may be retained according to operational and security needs and providers’ policies.

Access, correction and deletion

You can email the address above to request access to personal information about you, correct inaccurate information or request deletion, where those rights apply under the relevant law. We will assess requests under Israel’s Privacy Protection Law and other applicable law, and may ask for proportionate identity verification. Deletion is not unconditional: information may need to be retained for legal obligations or justified business needs. You may also ask how your inquiry is handled.

Information security

The website uses HTTPS and basic infrastructure safeguards. We take reasonable measures to protect information handled in our business activities. Absolute security cannot be guaranteed for the website, email apps or third-party services. This policy makes no certification claim or blanket claim of compliance with foreign privacy frameworks.

Policy updates

We will update this policy when information handling or website features change, including before activating automatic notification emails or marketing mailings. The update date appears at the top of this page. Please email us with privacy questions or requests.
